JUSTIN & KENDRA ENGAGEMENT - OKLAHOMA PHOTOGRAPHER

I met Justin quiet a few years ago and we have done several shoots together in the past. When he called me and said he was engaged I was excited to photograph him and his fiance, Kendra.
Justin had Kendra forewarned that I was addicted to pictures & I think she was ready for a Jared Wanzer Photography modeling experience.
It was the windiest day of the year, I am pretty sure there were at least 40 mph winds (at the least). We headed down town to find as many alley ways & wind block areas as possible.
It was a great shoot & they were styling! Two amazing people in love as you can see in these photos!

More photos to come! Thanks for being my top models! Looking forward to many more shoots to come!

ETHAN & SKYLER ENGAGEMENT - OKLAHOMA PHOTOGRAPHER

I love when I get an early morning client, I love morning light for pictures!
Ethan & Skyler were up for starting in the morning.
These two were great to work with! Skyler is actually a senior in high school at the high school I graduated from. She is one busy girl she just finished basketball, being on the winning state team. She is also STUCO president, I was VP of student council when I was in high school so I know that alone makes for a busy schedule! Ethan is in OKC going to college and working.
With all that said with the busy schedules we made it a great day. I love being able to go out and explore with a couple to find some new spots for them. You can tell by these pictures they have a lot of fun together!
We started on Broadway, downtown Oklahoma City and went into the different alleys, I think sometimes they were wondering where I was taking them, we also had a few cars stop and watch, its always a good show!

Have a great Thursday, more to come soon!

MICHAEL & KELLY ENGAGEMENT - OKLAHOMA PHOTOGRAPHER

My day started by driving to Tulsa, OK . I grew up in Oklahoma but have only been to Tulsa a couple of times so I left early to scout out my top models of the day Michael & Kelly’s choice of location. Woodward Park.
Michael & Kelly have been together for a long time, they went to high school together. You can tell in these pictures they are truly in love and so thankful they asked me to be apart of capturing their love.
It was a great location, I had never been to a park so well set up. Michael & Kelly arrived early so we decided to start early, the only thing that hindered things about this park was there were no wind blocks at all and all the years I have been doing pictures, this for sure was one of the windiest days!
We decided pretty quick to head downtown Tulsa where there were larger buildings to have some wind blocks. Since, I wasn't familiar with Tulsa I was a little worried about finding the best locations last minute downtown but we did some exploring and found the perfect spots.. These two were great and kept such a great attitude about the wind blowing.
It was also national ‘go out and take your picture day’ in Tulsa I think because everywhere there were photographers and people being photographed.
Here are a few of the day, more to come soon!

Can’t wait for your wedding!

RACHAEL SENIOR PORTRAITS - OKLAHOMA PHOTOGRAPHER

This last weekend I had the great pleasure of photographing one of the greatest seniors, Rachael.
I met Rachael at a wedding in 2010, I took a few pictures of her then.
When she contacted me to do her senior pictures on Facebook I knew this would be a great shoot.
She is a gorgeous girl and she will do great things with her life, she can now add Jared Wanzer Photography
model to her resume.
At first she was like ‘what do I do’ & just a few photos into the photo-shoot she was turning her head and working it
just like a model. I think she didn't want to show off all her mad skills right in the beginning.
We went downtown and explored another area of the wonderful downtown Oklahoma City.
Rachael’s mom, sister & little nephew came along with us. Let me tell you Rachael is hilarious and
I know exactly where she gets it from, HER MOM! Her mom was cracking me up left and right.
We found some of my new favorite spots, I always try to take my clients out exploring for new locations
so everyone has something unique to them. I think we were all worn out by the end walking all over downtown
but it was perfect weather!
Here are a few from the day, perfect shoot!

I gave my second camera to Rachael's sister because one thing I wish I had more of from the past years of my photography career is more 'behind the scene' pictures.

More to come soon!!

Amy Portraits - Oklahoma Photographer

Time flies. A little over a week ago my family from Portland, OR came down to OKkklahoma. They have come to visit on Amy’s Spring Break for several years now, which I love they are some of the greatest people I know. Now, Amy on the other hand I am sure she wishes to go to Hawaii on her break or at least that her family that she visits on Spring Break lived in Hawaii, but I tried to tell her we have Lake Hefner here.
My schedule was jam packed while they were here sadly but I did get to spend time with them. Amy & I planned before she came that I was going to do a photo-shoot of her. Let me tell you she is one of Jared Wanzer Photographys Top Models, yes cousins can say that!
Amy is so hilarious. I was laughing the whole time. As you look through these pictures you will notice, Amy has a lot of facial expressions. I think we captured all of them,
or close to it, right Amy?
I took her downtown and we went exploring in some of the older parts of downtown. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed getting to make a day of it!
Next shoot schedule for Portland very soon.
Here are a few from the day.

Shouldn't she try out for Americans Next Top Model? Thanks for letting me take pictures of you Amy!
Looking forward to coming to Portland and shooting even more with your amazing scenery!
Enjoy your day!
