2014 Engagements in Review - Oklahoma Photographer

Can you believe it is 2015?!

2014 was a tough year for me, My Grandma passed away at the end of 2013 and 2014 was just a time to go through it.  I learned a lot about myself & I realized I am just going to have to go through this because I don't think you completely ever get over the loss of someone you were close to.  My reason for saying this is because going through the loss of my Grandma I was able to do what I love.   I don't even know if my clients knew how much it meant to do what I love and be around people who were happy and in love.  

As I am preparing for the 2015 photography year I thought going down memory lane would be fun. These are 2014s Jared Wanzer photography top model engagement couples.  I had the best time with each of them & thank you for bringing joy to my life through a tough year, you all really do me a lot to me.

My goal with every engagement shoot is to make it real, romantic and about the couple.   I want each shoot to show the love they share for each other & be a day they remember, an experience.   I think we were able to do that in each of these engagement sessions.    If you are engaged or know someone that is engaged, I would love to meet with you and tell you more about why I do what I do & add you to the calendar.

Brett & KyLeigh Engagement - Throwback Thursday - Oklahoma Engagement Portraits

The second edition of Jared Wanzer Photography, Throwback Thursday is in & today we are going to back to 2012.

I met Brett & KyLeigh downtown Oklahoma City.  I love engagement shoots & always have.  I love getting to know my couples, how they met, their first date, I try to do this as we are walking to take photos. Almost always it makes for a at least one story or a part of a story that can get them laughing in photos.  Brett & KyLeigh were Jared Wanzer Photography Top Models.  I loved getting to know them, they are both sincere, kind and genuine people.  I had the best time with them.  They completely embarrassed the moments and really enjoyed just being together & I just was there for the ride to capture it all on camera.

I remember when when we were done for the day Brett said, "Man I can't imagine being a model for a living it is wears you out."

As you can see in these photos it was worth it.

Billy & Tiffany Engagement - Oklahoma Portrait Photographer

The Judds have a song called Young Love.  The chorus in this song reminded me of Billy & Tiffany.

Billy & Tiffany grew up in Poteau, OK.  They were best friends going through school and moved away, lived some life & have now reconnected and will soon be walking down the aisle.  They both grew up in the area and we went back through memory lane through at their local hang out places & captured it all on camera.  It was so much fun to be able to go back to the places that meant something to do them & brought back so many memories. 

Young love, turning into true love - it just doesn't get any better than that!

Ryan & Ashley Engagement - Oklahoma Photographer

I love Ashley and Ryan, they were just what they said about each other - sincere, honest & big hearts.

We brought out their love for eachother, their personality & a little comic book love.

We started off downtown OKC, the older part of town. Joseph & Misty have two boys. Misty asked if we could include them as apart of the first part of the engagement shoot & that is what we did. Everyone in this family knows how to work a camera also everyone has great hair. It didn't take any time at all to welcome them into the Jared Wanzer Photography model family.

After we wore out Matt & Dawson, we finished up with the main event, Joseph & Misty’s! We had such a great time and they brought a lot of great outfit changes that went fantastic with all the locations we picked out. I cannot wait to shoot their wedding later this year!

Marcus & Erin Wedding - Oklahoma Photographer

I met with Marcus & Erin when I met with them to book their wedding.   We went from a freezing cold engagement session to the complete opposite extreme on their wedding day.  The wedding day was possibly the most hot & humid day of the year.  We were able to use gorgeous I Cross My Heart Wedding Chapel & Gardens.  We made the most of the heat and were able to get so many great photos!
