Myriad Gardens

relaxing day after

& a perfect morning for a photo shoot!

A few days ago I posted about Chris & Mollys Wedding. We actually did Chris & Mollys Day After session 2 days after but all the same this Day After session started early morning and we headed downtown Oklahoma City to the recently remodeled Myriad Gardens.

I am not going to lie when I heard they were redoing Myriad Gardens I was disappointed because I thought it was perfect to begin with. This is the first time I had photographed a shoot since it has been completely finished and I have to say, I loved it. Great job Oklahoma City.

We were able to get some great light and I loved the areas we found in Myriad Gardens, Chris & Molly were up for anything they were relaxed and ol Jared Wanzer Photography pros my this point. In one of the last pictures I did of the day I put them on a bench in the gardens and they were so relaxed I think they were ready to take a nap.

Early morning shoots are the way to go!

I love Day after sessions and I am so glad we were able to do one, thanks Chris & Molly for waking up early to get that perfect light and cool breeze!

Lucas has been my friend since 1999, okay maybe 2000, but 1999 sounds better.
I was in the 8th grade when we became friends.

We have many photo-shoots & I have made him practice & be my model so many times I am sure neither of us could count, but I am sure I still have all the pictures to prove it. I guess Lucas is probably one of my original Jared Wanzer

I was able to shoot Lucas & Kourtneys Wedding a couple of years ago & I have loved becoming friends with Kourtney as well.

I promised them we wouldn't take to many since it has been 100+ outside lately in Oklahoma City. We got some great shots & it
was also great to catch back up, can’t wait to meet the baby & of course take lots of pictures!!

Katie & Kens Wedding was about a month ago & it was one of my favorites, I love me some Coles Garden. Katie for sure knows how to put details together and I am pretty sure these two will be my best friends, even though they already have a fantastic group of friends!

This shoot was about a year ago but before blogging about the wedding I decided we should show off a few of Ben & Katie’s engagement photo shoot. These two are so easy to work with and they both love having their picture made and are up for anything, love working with them.

We started off downtown OKC, the older part of town. Joseph & Misty have two boys. Misty asked if we could include them as apart of the first part of the engagement shoot & that is what we did. Everyone in this family knows how to work a camera also everyone has great hair. It didn't take any time at all to welcome them into the Jared Wanzer Photography model family.

After we wore out Matt & Dawson, we finished up with the main event, Joseph & Misty’s! We had such a great time and they brought a lot of great outfit changes that went fantastic with all the locations we picked out. I cannot wait to shoot their wedding later this year!

Every single location was my favorite!

The hardest part of my job is, well waiting to post bridal portraits until after the wedding. I always tell everyone I will probably get more excited than you!! I remembered today I had not blogged about another one of my wonderful brides, Kassie!

I love every single location we went to. We tried all new locations & we were able to do something completely fun and different!

Kassie a fantastic bride, person & of course Jared Wanzer Photography Top model! We had a great time and were able to get some fantastic light and the colors just popped in all of these photos!

I love working with Kassie because she is always up for anything and everything & definitely works my camera like no bodies business!

KATIE BRIDAL – OKLAHOMA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Katie’s bridal portrait day!!! This was a fantastic bridal session. Katie's mom came and her friend Carlson. I am pretty sure 2 pictures into the photo-shoot Katie got lip stick, she skinned her elbow & bugs were in & around her dress. She definitely had it rough but was a Jared Wanzer Photography trouper all the way, she wasn’t even phased & as you will see in the pictures she is a top of the line model & loves the camera & my camera loves her! I found several new spots in Guthrie and probably could have spent all day there but we wanted to make it to several locations. We went to Arcadia on the way back and were able to get into a wheat field which also made for some fantastic shots. She seriously can work the camera like no bodies business. We then headed downtown for this great place with ivy everywhere and it looked PERFECT.

Another reason I LOVVVVVED this shoot is because she had a veil, a head piece a bouquet and then a piece of the bouquet that was cut out into a butterfly we put in her hair at the end. We used them all but used them all at the different locations which I think that added so much character to the shoot. So many fantastic facial expressions and loved her dress and every single thing about it.

Afterward we went to Zios and we were all plum tuckered out but it was definitely a good feeling to be tuckered out from what you love to do!

I had the hardest time waiting to post these images until after Ben & Katie’s Wedding so here we go!

Fun fact, it is funny to write your own name (Jared) as your clients name (also Jared). Jared, Alyssa & I actually grew up in the same town, they are a little younger than me, Jared was actually in my brothers class. Alyssa contacted me to shoot her wedding over a year ago but it didn't work out and here we are now a year later. I found several new spots and used a few old spots downtown Oklahoma City. They made for some great locations and you did a great job modeling for me as well.
