It was a perfect day for a photo shoot.

Tyler & Meg are two of my new favorite people.  I actually just photographed their wedding this last weekend and I wanted to share their engagement session.  I feel like it really showcases what I love to do which is capturing the love that my couples have for each other, while laughing, kissing & just having a good time.

Tyler & Meg were up for anything and everything.  We were in fields in Arcadia, laying on the ground, walking down the streets of Guthrie.  We just had a great time together.   I was in love with this shoot so here is a sample of the entire shoot.

Brandon & Carlson Engagement - Oklahoma Photographer

I have known Brandon & Carlson for several years now.  We met through Ben & Katie - which is actually how Carlson met Brandon.  Ben & Katie know how to bring people together.

Brandon & Carlson are getting married in Cancun in 2015.  Brandon actually surprised Carlson with a romantic proposal there on the beach.  

We decided to do several travel themed engagement photo shoots since we will be traveling for their destination wedding.  They are my kind of people because they love exploring, going places they've never been & Mexican food. 

We hit the road and drove the Historic Route 66 to Clinton, Oklahoma from Oklahoma City.  It was a great start to many more adventures to come.

These are just a few things I love about engagement portraits.

Photography is extremely personal to me and capturing the love that a couple has for each other is such a great feeling, to get to do what you love is a great feeling. These are photos that someday they will show their grand kids.

My main goal with each engagement session is to have fun, make the couple comfortable in front of the camera & make the shoot about them. All of these couples were up for anything and everythings and we had a great time and we captured it all.  I wanted to share my 2013 engagement sessions with you, to give you a sample of what I love to do.  All of these were taken all over Oklahoma, I love exploring and finding new places for each photo.  I will be doing a blog on each of these soon.

I want all of my photo-shoots to be an experience, I want it to be completely about whoever I am taking pictures of.

I am a firm believer that photo-shoots are more than just pretty pictures, at least Jared Wanzer Photography style. I want each of my clients to enjoy themselves,
be happy that they are there and wanting to take pictures. I tend to try an area that we can explore together which makes it more fun.

I love being able to show off your personalities and your love for each other.

I always start off my meetings by saying I want to capture the kiss and the slap because you can’t believe he said that.

I did a blog post recently of Brett & KyLeigh & I wanted to show a few more because we had so much fun and such a great photo shoot &
it really shows off what I am talking about when I said I love capturing all those little in between moments.

By the end of all my photo shoots I feel like my clients are working my camera.

Engagement Sessions are always some of my favorites because it is usually when I really get to know my clients, how they met, when they met, both versions of the story!
…& by the end they are working my camera like there is no tomorrow and I love it!

These are just a few things that made this engagement shoot of my new Jared Wanzer Photography Top Models, Brett & Kyleigh, perfect! I think with every shoot I do, I love my job more. My goal in every shoot is to make whoever I am photographing comfortable in-front of the camera.

Kyleigh called me about a week before this shoot and we talked about photography and what she wanted and what I do & I knew this was going to be a good shoot just from that short conversation the phone.

These two worked my camera like no bodies business, very sincere & kind people. They also are very good dressers, I asked Brett if they always dress this way because I love that they brought it in the clothes department and they of course responded that they do. I could have kept going all day with this shoot! We might need a round two just for kicks.

From head to toe you both worked my camera and I am so glad I was able to do your engagement session! Thanks for asking me, I loved working with you both and look forward to working with you both again! More to come soon!
