ALL ABOUT FACES

This last weekend I went to get a massage by one of my best friends, Daniella. She is a massage therapist here in the OKC. After WPPI in Vegas I am always in need of a good massage & let me tell you she has healing hands. She gives the best massage in town! She is a pro, she has been doing this for 8 years now.
She works at a great location in Oklahoma City, All About Faces Spalon
They have a great team of people working there that can offer so many great services. Dana, the owner of the location is such a great person! She asked me to come in and capture many of her great group of ladies and also photos of the services they offer; massages, facials, pedicures. I had such a great time getting to know all the wonderful people that my friend works with and let me tell you I was just setting in the waiting room yesterday and it was relaxing, you for sure need to go check them out!
Here are a few of the pictures I threw together of the ladies working the camera.

Have a great Tuesday, give them a call!

MY GRANNY.

My cousin Michele recently posted some old pictures of our family that she has been getting developed.
I am a huge fan of old pictures, I wish I could collect all the old pictures that all my grandparents
and great grandparents that were taken back in the day.
When I was a senior in high school my Granny, my dads grandma, passed away.
Irene Ann Pospisil was her name, today she would have been 92. I decided today would be a good day
to celebrate her on my blog.
She was such a fun lady and I am so glad that I was able to know her. She was for sure always the life of
the party and always had a great story to tell.

This is a picture from their wedding day.

I am so blessed to have so many great people be apart of my life past & present.
Enjoy the people in your life today, Have a great week!

SEAN & JONI - OKLAHOMA PHOTOGRAPHER

My brothers birthday was a little over a month ago. The weather was bad so I wasn't able to go see him & actually we both have crazy schedules so I haven’t been able to give him his birthday present yet.
I put this collage together of the pictures we took at Christmas time at my dads. The first of the many shoots Sean & Joni will have. Get ready!

GOODBYE WPPI 2011

Photographers Ignite.
This was one of my favorite events last year & this year even better!
17 photographers give a 5 minute presentation, each photographer
speaking on something different or person to them in the business.
I wish I had the video to share with you because it was spectacular!
Okay, maybe I am a photo-addict but I loved it.
Since the convention did have to come to and end this was a great way
to end. I love my job…this convention makes me fall in love with it
all over again!
Thank you to everyone who made this experience worth my while!
I am so grateful for WPPI for putting on this event each year.
I have already marked my calendar for 2012!

WPPI 3

As a faithful user of canon cameras, as you should be as well, even the point and shoot cameras last forever! We went to a Canon sponsored Mardi Gras Party.
Not everyone knows this but I don’t drink, I am not a big fan of the liquor anyway, but I am allergic to it as well. I just went for the fun, of course I try to only to be apart of fun experiences.
Kriea, Jenni & I rocked our masks.

My Classes & Activities for Day 3:
Jules & Bianchi & Joy Bianchi Brown – How to be a Rockstar in your own backyard!
Woman of Contemporary Photography

& the last class I took was Jennifer Hudson (no not the singer)
her class was filled with so many of the best quotes I have ever
heard. I love quotes, I have a word document full of every quote
I have ever heard.
”If the sky falls, hold up your hands”

A lot of great plans for 2011! Get ready!

WPPI DAY 2

My day started with Doug Gordon, My Bride Would Never Do That – Posing is Back.

{photo by my friend Jenni}
I could not wait for my next class the one the only Becker, The [b]ig Picture! Right before I left for Vegas I actually joined The B School . A few of my fellow photographer friends had told me about this website & I joined and I am so glad I did. It is facebook, except even better, you heard me, for photographers! I am so glad to be able to be apart, I highly recommend it to all photographers!
If Becker lived in Oklahoma, we would be best friends.
One of my favorite quotes from this class that he gave was, ”A positive attitude may not solve all your problems but it might annoy enough people to make it worth your while.”
Jim Garner was my next class, The Creative Explosion.
He has designed this amazing lens bag, which I really wanted to get while I was in Vegas but the day I went to get it, they had already actually left. It is called the Boda V3 lens bag.
Best invention ever for a photographer on the go!

Then, my last class of the day, Jasmine Star.
Untold Stories.
I am so thankful for this wonderful lady! Last year I went to WPPI because I really wanted a pick-me-up.
I had a down year, the year before & I needed some motivation. When I left her class last year I was ready
to go home and get started! Seriously, she just needed to throw a little scripture into her talk and I would
have been at church!
This year was the same, so motivating so inspiring! This year she actually helped me realize I have to create more of a schedule for myself. To quote her, ‘Don’t regret living your life in the name of your business.’
Jasmines class was actually healed in a large room and the wonderful person that she is stayed until the very end to talk to every single person that wanted to stay and talk to her. I actually healed back for awhile because I was hoping to get to talk to her for just a little bit. My friend Jenni stood back and captured these pictures.

Ask for what you want.
Have a great day!

WPPI

I have been back from Vegas a little over a week now. This is my second year to be able to attend this convention! It is one of my favorite weeks of the year! It is one of the best experiences I have ever had being in such a positive environment of the best photographers in the country.
I was able to get a direct flight to Vegas this year, (much better than spending all day in Denver airport like last year, Abi!).
The first night we decided would be a good time to walk the strip & take a few pictures, because even though it is the best experience to be at this convention, by the last day, you would rather not be walking down the strip.
A few pictures of our walk…

I love Bellagio !

Oh yes, I forgot to tell you, MJ is alive! Dancing for tips in Vegas!

You no the batman signal? Well, soon there will be a Jared Wanzer Photography signal, just sayin.
Thanks to my friend Kriea for taking this picture.

Until Next time!

CLIENT SITES - Oklahoma Photographer

One of my exciting new projects I am now offering to my future clients is personal websites sites designed for just them.
This will allow my clients to send any information about their wedding & engagement to me to put on their
personal site to share with their family & friends.
I have wanted to do this for awhile & through the power of ShowIt! I am now able to make this happen!
All my clients are important to me & creating this website for them will allow me to do something just a little extra.
I love my job.
A few samples of the two sites I have put together already.

I LOVE OUTSIDE WEDDINGS

I love outside weddings.
One of my goals at each wedding I am able to shoot is to be able to make time to take at least my couples outside for a few portraits in their wedding attire.
I love natural light & I love getting the reaction ‘hmm you want to shoot there.’
Those photographs are always my clients favorites are the few images we are able to make time for to go outside.
This wedding, Dan & Trista. The wedding was outside. It was in Wichita KS.
I actually met Trista a really long time ago when I was in high school through
a mutual friend. We hadn't really stayed connected though until the wonderful
world of Facebook came into all of our lives.
When they got engaged I was excited when she asked me to be her photographer.
I was especially excited when I pulled into this location and was able to get so many
amazing shots. If you are getting married in Kansas look up, Nativity Pines, & then
give me a call & I will be the guy for the job.

As my sign says, have camera will travel & I mean it
Have a great evening!

FEBRUARY 3RD

February 3, 1989 was a very good year!
My brother, my best friend was born!

In the dictionary the word brother literally means,
‘a male offspring having both parents in common with another offspring; a male sibling.’
Isn't it interesting that is all a brother means?
My definition would be,
someone who is always there, someone I am so glad God gave to me, someone that will
always be apart of my life no matter what, close friend.
Isn't that way better than the dictionary definition? They need to change that.
I cannot even imagine my life without him and cannot imagine him not being apart of my life.
Even when it isn't his birthday I am will celebrate him and let him know he is an important person to me.
This is a big year for him because he is getting married, which there will be a lot more blogs about that.
Happy 22nd Brother!
A few pictures of us through the years;
