JENNI WOODS & JARED WANZER TAKE WICHITA KANSAS

This last weekend I explored a lot of locations in Wichita. I love the old part of town so much, I love any style of vintage or old run down builds OR even buildings that have been kept up well with the older feel to them.
I rented a camera for the weekend because I knew I had several shoots and I have been looking for a new camera so I figured I mine as well try out several before making my decision.

Jenni, is also a photographer, I met her this last year at a WPPI event in Dallas. She laughed at my jokes so I knew we would be friends right away. She also went to WPPI Vegas this year.
I am looking forward to meeting her husband and little girl & take a few pictures of them as well.

Jenni is such a great person. I love being able to have fellow photographers in the OKC area!

Jenni happened to be in Wichita for a conference & while she was dressed up I went out and did a few shots.

BRIAN & BRITTANY ENGAGEMENT - TRAVELING PHOTOGRAPHER

Last weekend I made my way up to Wichita, KS. The weekend started off with this lovely couple Brian & Brittany.
I met Brittany in 2005, we both started waiting tables about the same time at Garfield's in Crossroads Mall in Oklahoma City. I was actually attending Photography school in Moore at the time. We always enjoyed working together and she was always very uplifting when it came to me pursuing photography as my career.
We haven’t seen each other since but because of the best invention in the world, Facebook, we have kept in touch every so often through the years. I was so excited when she contacted me that she was getting married and wanted me to photograph their wedding in September.

My day started out checking out Old Town, in Wichita. I went down early to drive around and scout out locations for us to explore. In the middle of exploring it started pouring down rain.
This normally wouldn't be a big deal because we could either reschedule or wait it out, but Brian & Brittany drove down from Nebraska. I was trying to figure out a plan, off to Wal Mart I went. I decided we would start out in their hotel and re-enact a pillow fight.
My list of supplies for Wal Mart was:
feather pillow
umbrella
batteries
& of course a Pepsi.

The result of the amazing pillow flight we created. The hotel cleaning lady wasn't to happy and I am pretty sure they wondered what happend when they came into the room.

We also made our way to Starbucks for more creative shots to stay out of the random burst of rain downpour.

It was such a great day, rain or no rain we had a great time! I am so thankful you guys asked me to be apart of the journey toward your wedding! Many more to come soon!

I LOVE OUTSIDE WEDDINGS

I love outside weddings.

One of my goals at each wedding I am able to shoot is to be able to make time to take at least my couples outside for a few portraits in their wedding attire.
I love natural light & I love getting the reaction ‘hmm you want to shoot there.’
Those photographs are always my clients favorites are the few images we are able to make time for to go outside.

This wedding, Dan & Trista. The wedding was outside. It was in Wichita KS.
I actually met Trista a really long time ago when I was in high school through
a mutual friend. We hadn't really stayed connected though until the wonderful
world of Facebook came into all of our lives.
When they got engaged I was excited when she asked me to be her photographer.
I was especially excited when I pulled into this location and was able to get so many
amazing shots. If you are getting married in Kansas look up, Nativity Pines, & then
give me a call & I will be the guy for the job.
