Zach Senior Portraits - Oklahoma Photographer

Zach is one of my favorite people. I met Zach when I was a senior in HS, he is now a senior. We had a great time, I hadn't seen him in awhile and we able to get all caught up AND take a TON of pictures. He worked the camera and was for sure a Jared Wanzer Photography Top Model. Here are a few of my favorites.

Wendy Bridal Portraits - Oklahoma Photographer

Wendy is a faithful follower of my website. She always is looking at the bridal pictures and said 'I can't wait for you to take mine.' So it is her turn. We went on the coldest day in December to do her bridal portraits. I searched and search for a place you didn't have to make an appointment & the Colcord Hotel in Downtown Oklahoma City. I loved this hotel and can't wait to do another shoot there. Here are a few samples. Check'm out & comment away.

Giving

Giving

Think about this:

"Giving a gift involves so much more than just what you buy. When you think about it, the real gifts come from your heart. The real gifts are something that you think about, and the truth is sometimes it is really missed when we focus on buying something and giving somebody something that we want them to have, instead of tuning in to their personality and what they need true giving is about touching someone else heart, by showing them how much we have thought about them and how much we care. It is not about the money that is spent. It is about the personal investment that is made and what message that particular gift is sending. Think about those you care about and recognize that the biggest impact gifts come out of the blue, instead of something that is expected." - Unknown

Friendship

I found this poem, I have searched and searched for who wrote it but it always just says unknown. I love it and thought I would share. I am blessed with many friends & I am thankful everyday for them.

-Friendship-

Friendship isn't always easily described. The Eskimos, they say, have a hundred different words for snow. Unfortunately, the English language isn't quite as innovative, though it has vast opportunities to differentiate meaning. Certainly, Love is one of those opportunities. And so, too, is Friendship.

Instead of different words, however, we're stuck with simple adjectives. Close friend. Best friend. Childhood friend. Intimate friend. Trusted friend. Beloved friend. But whether you use adjectives or different words, few could deny the nearly infinite meaning in such a simple word.

Friends are special people. We for sure can't pick our family, and we're sorely limited in the number of them at any rate. Society and mores (and often our own conscience) dictate we select a single mate. But our friends can be as diverse and infinite as the adjectives we choose. Our friends, in a very real sense, reflect the choices we make in life. - Unknown

January 2009

January 2009 over, time goes by so quickly! I brought in the New Year with some of my great friends. We just decided to keep it low key; hang out, watch movies & play games.

Also bring in the new year I received an exciting new from my best
friend of 14 years this year, Madison. Madison informed with her
exciting news that her & longtime boyfriend, Austin were engaged!
We have been talking through the month & she has been doing planning
& organizing. After a lot of tracking down they have nailed down a
date. I am very excited to shoot a longtime friends wedding in
September & can't wait to be a part of their special day!

On January 3, I had the privilege of shooting my friends Brian & Wendy's
Wedding. Wendy did a great job planning and I was able to get some fun,
new photos. It was a great weekend to get caught up with friends & be able to be apart of their wedding day!

At the beginning of this eventful month, I participated in the OKC Bridal Fair at the Cox Convention Center. This was the 4th bridal fair that I have been apart of
and this was my favorite. The venue provided much more space & room
for brides to move around, which allowed me to hand out a lot more information
& meet a lot of new potential clients. I am also very grateful for my lovely assistant for being there all day &helping me get my name out.

January was a organization
month for me; getting caught up on editing (if you can get caught up on editing),
post cards made for the year of holidays and different events. Budget set & all my tax information
is together & ready to go. As well
as organizing this month, engagement portraits, church portraits & meetings
to set dates for clients weddings.

Christmas reschedule. I try to always
make time to get together with friends during Christmas time & have a
‘Christmas’ together. My Christmas with
Jeremy & Rene..e had to be rescheduled because of the weather & this
month we made up for that & went out for dinner & went to see Mall Cop. We enjoyed spending time together & just
had a great day together.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY this month to some Special People!

January 4 My Mammaw would have been 90 years old.
January 6 My wonderful Mom, my friend Jaye & lil Renee.
I went out to My moms in the AM & brought her Dough Nuts.
Later, Sean, Mike & I took MA to BJs & then went to see the
new version of Old Yeller, Marly & Me. It was great to celebrate.
January 11 My friend, Karissa.
January 14 Grandma Spickett
January 18 My friend, Brandi
My clients, Brandi & Tony, have turned into great friends and they invited me to go out to eat with them @ Santa Fe. It was a great time hanging out with their friends.
January 31 My friend, Angela & lil Taylor
Angela also on the last day of the month was able to get a bunch of friends together and eat in Yukon for her birthday. It was a great time to enjoy some time together & celebrate Angela's Birthday!

It is hard to believe but January 2009 down. Looking forward to each month to follow.
Lastly, be sure to keep up with my website through the year, it will be a fun new exciting year in picture world :)

Brian & Wendy Wedding - Oklahoma Wedding Photographer

I have always loved photographing people, when I was in photography school I went straight into photographing people unless the assigned specifically said something else.
I just love the connection with people and being able to interact. I love me a sunset but
unless I can put some people in it I am fine with just admiring it.

My first wedding of 2009, My friends Brian & Wendy were married in Corn, OK. I have been friends with them for quiet a while and was very excited to shoot their wedding.   Brian & Wendy modeled for me in one of my very first photography school assignments in film. I thought it would be fun to share a few of those.

Looking through these pictures you will see a lot of my friends, including my brother, my friend Madison who was recently engaged. Also a lot of other friends that I am sure you have seen a lot of pictures on my blogs and such.
Check'm out and comments are always welcome.
