Paddle Boarding

A month or so before my Grandma passed away I was sitting in her bed with her and she told me, 'there is no greater feeling than knowing you have done everything you wanted to do, said everything you wanted to say & been everywhere you wanted to go.'

Those words come to me a lot during this year without her because I just think that is exactly where I want to be always.  I want to say things I need to say, do things I want to do & go places I want to go.

This has been my year of doing. I want to make a conscious effort to do new things, things I've always wanted to do.

My mom has been talking about going paddle boarding for awhile and we have been waiting for the perfect day to go out.  We went to Lake Overholser, where you can rent paddle boards, canoes, boats & I am sure many other activities.  We ended up going on the perfect day, it was so peaceful. I love being in the water & I love that something like this is in Oklahoma.  My mom was an instant pro at paddle boarding, I however loved it but fell in twice.

This is the first of many blogging adventures.
