Jared Wanzer Party of 1 Book Club - 3

The cover of the book  Love. Skip. Jump. says, "start living a life of adventure."

well, I am in.

My latest book find is Love. Skip. Jump, by Shelene Bryan.

& after reading that under the title, like I found this book & started reading!

I follow Candice Cameron Bure, from Full House & more recently Dancing with the Stars, on Instagram.  I saw she had recommended this book to her followers & it just sounded like my kind of book.

This book is filled with real love, skipping & jumping adventures of the author, Shelene Bryan.  I loved this book and I think I only put it down for food breaks.   I love the honesty that she shares in this book about the ideas she decided to put into action instead of just putting it on a someday to-do-list.  It really got my mind going about the things I always say I am going to do that I just need to Love Skip & Jump!

Thank you Shelene for writing such an honest book of stories of your life.  I look forward to hearing more stories from you in the future.  If you ever need a photographer at any of your events, I am there!

In the introduction Sharlene writes, "God has amazing life adventures set out for each of us.  The challenge is we must say yes to Him and take the jump into action."  Well that makes me want to go out and do something for sure.

I had so many favorite parts of this book but I this is something that really got me thinking and I thought I would share.  Believe me I have so much highlighted in this book that I could create an entire different blog with just quotes from the book, but here it goes.

This is taken from the first chapter of Love. Skip Jump, titled The Adventure of Yes.

"The fact is, every significant event that happened in the Bible happened because somebody said yes to God.  Noah said yes to God and built an ark, despite the mocking of every person he knew - and was saved.  Moses said yes to God when, at great personal risk, he demanded freedom from his people - and they were freed.  David said yes when he fought Goliath - and later he became king of Israel.  Esther saved her people from annihilation...Peter stepped over the side of a small fishing boat and walked on water...and Jesus paid the price for your failings and mine forever. It all happened when they each said yes to God."

Wow. Makes me feel better about any uncomfortable situation I have been in & knowing it will all work out if I am going through it with God.
