One of my goals in every photo shoot that I do is to bring out whoever I am photographing personalities and their love for each other.

Chris & Molly have such great personalities! I feel like we were able to capture their love and playfulness for each other through this photo shoot so much so that I think I might have wore them out, we started early in the morning in Oklahoma City with their dogs and ended in Stillwater, OK.

I love the details of this shoot that they brought along, MBG convertible, flowers, the zoo one of their favorite places to go to spend time together.

I want all of my photo-shoots to be an experience, I want it to be completely about whoever I am taking pictures of.

I am a firm believer that photo-shoots are more than just pretty pictures, at least Jared Wanzer Photography style. I want each of my clients to enjoy themselves,
be happy that they are there and wanting to take pictures. I tend to try an area that we can explore together which makes it more fun.

I love being able to show off your personalities and your love for each other.

I always start off my meetings by saying I want to capture the kiss and the slap because you can’t believe he said that.

I did a blog post recently of Brett & KyLeigh & I wanted to show a few more because we had so much fun and such a great photo shoot &
it really shows off what I am talking about when I said I love capturing all those little in between moments.

By the end of all my photo shoots I feel like my clients are working my camera.

Engagement Sessions are always some of my favorites because it is usually when I really get to know my clients, how they met, when they met, both versions of the story!
…& by the end they are working my camera like there is no tomorrow and I love it!

INVESTING IN PHOTOGRAPHY - OKLAHOMA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m back.

I love blogging but for some reason I tend skip the blogging step in my processes of editing, no excuses, I love writing and telling a story of this amazing job I have, I will be doing better, I think I am telling myself this more than anyone else.

I love my job, sometimes it is even hard to explain how much I enjoy being a photographer. Pictures have always been important to me, my mom always took a lot of pictures when I was growing up. I love being able to go back and look through the memories. The same goes for my clients, I try to explain investing in photography and hiring a professional to capture the memories for you so you don’t have to have the stress of wondering if Uncle Bob will remember to take the lens cap off their film camera. I have heard so many stories and received countless e-mails of clients that decided to have ‘Uncle Bob’ shoot their wedding & wish they had invested in a professional.

Here is an e-mail I received just the other day from a bride whose wedding is coming up in May. I asked Molly if I could share it because it is easy for a photographer to stress photography as an investment because I feel like I have seen and heard so many stories that make me hope everyone will not regret not investing but I also feel it is even better to hear it from a bride.

Thanks so much for meeting with us today! We really enjoyed visiting with you. I know that it is very important to feel comfortable with your wedding photographer. Chris and I were very at ease in visiting with you and were very impressed with your style.

We would love to book our wedding with you! I am going to place a check in the mail tomorrow along with the contract.

THE LIST

A few months sort of a year I had the pleasure of attending WPPI in Vegas for the first time. It was a much needed pick-me-up. I know I know everyone says PARRRRRRRRTTTTTTY its Vegas. Well, for me it was a big party but I went to every single class I could and soaked up every single word every speaker said.

On the plane ride home, I created this list:

My goal was to get all of these tasks done by the time the bridal fair happened. Last Sunday was the OKBride Bridal Fair at the Cox Convention Center. Late Saturday night my new website & this blog went live!
It felt more than amazing to finally check all these projects off my list! Now that it is all done I am not sure what I will talk about !

I am probably going to say thank you a lot in these first few blogs but thank you to every person who helped me be able to check these projects off my list!!
