I wrote this the night before my Grandma passed away, I was going to try to read this at the prayer service last night but I just couldn't get up, I know my Grandma knew my heart.
Something you will hear me say a lot is, ‘You make time no one has time.’
My Grandma made time for me.
Some of my earliest memories are with my Grandma.
Whether we were naming fish in her aquarium, swimming in her apartment pool playing The Little Mermaid, taking me to the grocery store down the street, I thought it had everything. She would buy a loaf of bread just so we could go feed the ducks, so many memories.
My Grandma always wanted my brother and I to feel special..and that she did! She always had a cupboard full of our favorite foods, recording our favorite movies on VHS. She was on the floor playing games with us, relaxing in the hammock on her patio, when we were there…she was with us.
As I have got older she has still been such a big part of my life. The past couple of years we have started a tradition of having dinner a few times a month, time I am so thankful I made.
Grandma, I am blessed to have had you in my life for all these years. My life has been made better because you were in it. I thank God everyday He gave me you to be my Grandma.
Rest in Peace Grandma.
